Fiber Optic Lighting
TapeLite® is dramatic. It’s exciting, and a truly new lighting technology.
TapeLite features a unique, low-profile, flat plastic optical fiber construction that enables new ways to light spaces as never before. Long, flat and wide cable runs can now be safely illuminated with no electro luminescent fading, no bulbs to burn out, and no electricity needed in potentially hazardous areas. Once the cable is installed, it lights up safely and consistently year after year. The flat, side-emitting fiber optic cable is designed to accept all commercial illuminator types including LED, quartz halogen, and metal halide types. RGB LED illuminators are particularly flexible in terms of complete programmability and almost unlimited control of dimming, fading, blinking, and color change.

The TapeLite advantage.
- TapeLite® is dramatic. Creates excitement. Go far beyond the limits of Neon technology.
- New lighting technology features unique, lowprofile, flat plastic optical fiber construction.
- Unlimited new ways to light spaces like never before. And, it carries no electricity.
- Long, flat and wide cable runs can now be safely illuminated with no electro luminescent fading, no bulbs to burn out, and no electricity needed in potentially hazardous areas.
- The flat, side-emitting fiber optic cable is designed to accept all commercial illuminator types including LED, quartz halogen, and metal halide types.
- Once the cable is installed, it lights up safely and consistently year after year.
- Parallel sections of fiber at the cable ends also provides a convenient cable tail for routing to the illuminator.
- Twisted fibers are laminated to reflective films creating a much broader surface area for light to reflect from, thus emitting more light.
- Parallel fibers at the cable ends provide a very effective light launch into the cable. Also allows very high fiber density in the fiber port.
- he mystery of Lite is created through a proprietary method of twisting fibers causing the fiber’s maximum light acceptance angle to be violated. The result: Light leaks out at the fiber bends.
- RGB LED illuminators are particularly flexible in terms of complete programmability and almost unlimited control of dimming, fading, blinking, and color change.
